Mangaluru: Hindu organizations, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal, have filed a complaint at the Kadri police station seeking strict action against those who performed Namaz in the middle of a road in the city. A video of this alleged incident had gone viral on social media.
The Hindu leaders alleged that the Namaz was performed intentionally to disturb the peace and harmony of society. Speaking to the media, Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Pradeep Saripalla said, “The prayer was performed in a public place to disturb the peace of society. SOme people have committed acts to incite communal riots. Strict legal action should be taken against those who committed the act. If this act is repeated, we will recite the Hanuman Chalisa at the same place and time.”
