HYDERABAD: A number of Sangh Parivar affiliates, led by the RSS, have set their eyes on helping BJP candidates, especially from the erstwhile Karimnagar district. More than 20,000 activists of RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal have begun sweating it out in Karimnagar assembly segment.
RSS backed the candidature of BJP national general secretary Bandi Sanjay from Karimnagar, which has a numerically-strong 30,000 minority voters. “These activists are already engaged in door-to-door campaigns in the district and meeting the people urging them to vote for BJP candidates. This is additional support for BJP candidates who already have a team of active cadre working hard for them, operating like silent sleeper cells,” an RSS functionary said.
