Videos showed the Hindu militant group Bajrang Dal giving‘Trishul Diksha’ to over 300 Hindu youth in Jaipur.
The right wing organisation claimed that those who took the Diksha took a vow to protect country and Hinduism. The saffron group also claimed that the programme is run all over the country with aim to make youth valorous and protect them from any vice.

Following the condemnations and criticisms from rights groups and Muslim collectives, the Hindutva group rejected accusations that it is trying to arm Hindu youth and making them violent. It said that the Trishul used for the Diksha is as per the law.
“Before the Rwandan genocide, tonnes of machetes were similarly distributed among Hutus,” responding to the news, Indian American Muslim Council, a prominent Muslim body outside India tweeted.
