After a lull of over two months, pro-Hindu groups have restarted their campaigns against Muslim traders and Halal. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, a right-wing outfit, has appealed to Hindus to buy goods only from Hindu merchants across Karnataka during Dasara celebrations.
The pro-Hindu group state convenor Mohan Gowda has appealed to Hindus to do festival-related shopping only at shops owned by Hindus.
“All Hindus across Karnataka are celebrating Navaratri with pomp and fervour. We also celebrate Ayudha pooja where we perform pooja to machinery. On this day, usually, we consume meat, we appeal to Hindus to celebrate this Dasara by making it Halal-free. Halal manufacturing is one step closer to Islamisation. The money generated from it is being used for terrorist activities against India. We appeal to Hindus to buy meat at shops owned by Hindus where the jhatka cut is practised,” Gowda said.
The pro-Hindu group leader also asked people to do Dasara shopping only at Hindu shops.
“During Dasara, we buy things like clothes, pooja items, we appeal to people to buy such items only in shops owned by Hindus. People who don’t respect our Constitution and law, we must avoid any kind of transaction with them. We will circulate this message through social media and temples,” the Hindu Janajagruti leader appealed to Hindus.
