New Delhi: A Delhi court on Friday granted bail to a man accused of rioting and arson in a case related to the 2020 northeast Delhi riots.

The court of additional sessions judge Pulastya Pramachala, observing that there was a material change in circumstances since the rejection of his last bail plea, said, “The difference in the time of incident between the evidence of prosecution and the charges framed in the case at the instance of prosecution, is in my opinion an important aspect related to the case.

This change does go in favour of the applicant, which shall have its relevance during the final adjudication of the case.”
The court was hearing the fourth bail plea of Sandeep aka Mogli, who is accused of being part of a riotous mob that vandalised and torched a property in Bhagirathi Vihar on Feb 24, 2020, during the communal riots.
